I have a question, in my opinion PicFrame runs really well on BlackBerry already, I can understand wanting a native version if the app was slow or didn't work correctly, but what would the benefits be for PicFrame to be a native app?I have to apologize as I have not downloaded your app (i don't take a lot of pictures on my phone, nothing to do with it being native vs. I haven't got a set amount of sales in mind, but it would have to be enough to remove me from iOS dev for about a month or so to learn the BB platform and create the app, then also the ongoing support of the app and also providing updates. Although I'm sure most people here may not want to hear it Android would be the next platform if we did decide to bring it to other devices, but that would also mean it would be simple to bring it to BB as well. We don't have any plans to port Picfx to any other platforms at this stage - currently it is iOS only. "Don't let the search for perfection become the enemy of Good" It seems counter productive to the goal of getting developers to support BlackBerry 10. I just feel that we shouldn't automatically not like an app because it was ported. I understand people wanting native built apps in some cases but in this case it seems pointless. Without the ability to port apps, we would be like Windows Mobile OS and have no PicFrame app. Well, porting is a great way to get developers on board and support the BlackBerry platform. I'd understand if the app lagged or was missing functionality like some other ported apps but that's not the case.Īlso as a community we complain about not having apps. So basically you're saying you would rather have no app then have an app just because of how it was originally developed? Doesn't make much sense to me.
